Atlanta, GA – Info Retail, an Atlanta-based strategy and design agency focusing on the control and simplification of buying experiences, will host a free podcast recording service Oct. 18-21 during High Point Market.
Available to retailers and exhibitors attending the market, the free opportunity is for five-minute interviews, which will then be available to download at no charge beginning Nov. 2.
“To help business leaders take advantage of the evolving mobile and social media space, Info Retail is proud to offer podcast recording services at High Point Market,”said Brooks Ballard, director of marketing for Info Retail. “If you have engaging stories to tell about your business, a podcast is a perfect medium,” said Ballard. “Podcasts allow a human voice and personality to gain the attention and trust of this new breed of savvy, socially enabled buyers.”
Mobile media devices such as smartphones, are a frequent vehicle for podcast episode delivery. And millions of Americans are now engaging in complete business transactions using mobile media – m-commerce, according by a new study by Forrester Research Inc. (“The State of Consumers and Technology, Benchmark 2010”). “As the mobile channel becomes more embedded in consumers’ lives, its strategic role in how companies market themselves to customers, as well as how they sell goods and services to them, is potentially enormous,” said Forrester analyst Sucharita Mulpuru.
A recent benchmarking study (“Engaging Small Business Decision Makers Through Social Media”) from Business.com, web portal for business owners, found webinars and podcasts – learning venues requiring little interaction or investment – to be the preferred social media resource of small business (<100) decision makers. “Small business leaders consider webinars and podcasts to be great resources for professional development, industry research and learning about potentially-relevant products and services,” said Ben Hanna, VP of marketing for Business.com, “saving them the time and expense of attending in-person training.”
“We're offering this service to help capture and share the excitement of High Point Market,” Ballard said. “Marketers are welcome to use the podcasts to upload to their website, followup with prospects, or for general public relations use.”
The Info Retail Radio podcast team will be conducting five-minute podcast interviews, Monday through Thursday (Oct. 18-21) in exhibitor showrooms by appointment. Appointments for podcast interviews can be scheduled at http://blog.inforetail.com/podcasts.
